It is possible the mechanism is a bit rusty and with some care (or possible replacement) might move without resistance and reduce the rounding. All that said it would be nice to have an end made of MUCH stronger metal. GMC/Chevy sells one for twice the price BUT looks exactly like this one. Don’t know if it works better. IF it does it would definitely be worth the additional cash.
